DRAW WITH ME: A COASTAL LANDSCAPE

I really love drawing landscapes with alcohol markers and pencils, in a scratchy, scribbly, layered way. It’s one of my favourite styles of artwork to watch come to life, too.

I hope you enjoy this drawing video, and let me know if there’s any other subjects or topics you’d like to see me work on in future instalments!

SKETCHBOOK TOUR VIDEO

I’m sharing my first sketchbook tour video over on YouTube, here. This is an older sketchbook, but probably my best attempt at actually filling an entire sketchbook with finished drawings, so it’s a good one to share… most sketchbooks are filled with the scribbly pale ghosts of half-thought abandoned ideas.

But this one is vibrant and full of optimistic creative experimentation, so I really love it.

SKETCHBOOK & ROCKPOOLS • NEW VIDEO

Strange and magical creatures hiding in rock pools has always been my thing. So I put together a little video all about one of my favourite places to go wonder-seeking — the New South Wales south coast — and the drawings/sketchbook pages inspired by such a place.

And really, finding those two octopus hiding in the rocks was one of my favourite moments – they both seemed to have really pronounced moods; one was curious and bold, and the other pulled a rock over its cave in a very obvious ‘no thanks’ to visitors. Which, of course, I can relate to.

Anyway, if you’d like to see more of my drawing videos, they’re all being uploaded regularly on my YouTube channel here.

SKETCHBOOK: DORRIGO RAINFOREST DRAWINGS

I’m just sharing one of my favourite videos to date: a wander through the Dorrigo rainforest on Gumbaynggirr country, followed by some nature-inspired sketchbook scribbling.

If you’d like to take a look at how I draw and the things and places that inspire my work, please check out my YouTube channel here.

Thank you for tuning in, and taking in interest in my strange and magical world.
