Packagaing and branding

Given the unusual challenge of creating tea for 30-year-old divorced men, I designed branding and packaging for the Abre Camino Tea Company – inspired by seventies surf culture and voodoo symbolism.

Campaign event branding

Inspired by the theme of ‘Momento Mori’, I developed campaign branding and promotional material for a collaborative art and floristry exhibition. The event was designed to raise the profile of the Australian Flower Council, showcasing a contemporary, fresh, Australian take on a traditional art style. 

Graphics were created by spray painting and shooting natural artefacts — white, to resemble bones — on coloured card.

Film festival branding

The juxtaposition of real and fake (film’s ‘Indie’ genre vs. Hollywood artifice) drove the visual direction of this film festival branding and promotional material. Designed for the British Film Institute (BFI) ‘Indiewood’ festival, the design features quirky collages of disparate elements, and contrasting colours.

Corporate identity/city branding

In developing the corporate identity of ski resort town Sun Valley, Idaho, I was inspired by the striking and surprising nature of the multifaceted sides of a city that is best known simply for skiing. 

Initially driven by a simple, clean brand mark, the campaign evolved around crisp line illustrations, revealing the city’s many colourful ‘facets’.
